What the site knows about you, and what we do with it.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is the sole proprietorship Au Petit Comestible, Alessandro Malerba. For any question about your data, write to us or call us.

What you give us, and why

For an order: your first name, your last name, your phone number, your email, the pickup day and time, the products ordered and any comments you send us. This data is used to prepare your order and confirm it by email, and to contact you if something unexpected comes up.

If you create an account: your email address, your password in secured form, your order history and your loyalty points.

You can ask for your account to be deleted. Some order-related data may however be kept for as long as needed to meet our legal obligations, in particular accounting obligations. Other data is deleted when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to the applicable legal obligations.

Payment

Card payments are processed by Stripe through the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway extension. For Switzerland, Stripe’s contracting entity is generally Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, established in Ireland, for the activities covered by its services agreement. Other Stripe group entities may be involved depending on the service used.

TWINT payments are integrated into the site through the plugin developed by Mamedev, a company based in Switzerland.

The data needed to process payments, manage transactions and prevent fraud may be passed on to the providers concerned, their affiliated companies and their subcontractors. Some data may be processed abroad, in particular in Ireland and the United States, depending on the services used and how the data is processed.

Card details are not stored in our site’s database.

Who receives your data

The site is hosted by Infomaniak, in Switzerland. The data needed to process payments is sent to Stripe for card payments and to TWINT for TWINT payments.

With your consent, the site uses Google Analytics to measure its audience and Google Ads to measure the results of advertising campaigns. In this context, some browsing and site interaction data may be sent to Google. Some data may be processed abroad, in particular in the United States, depending on the services used and how the data is processed.

The data is not sold to third parties. The providers mentioned may however receive and process the data needed to provide their services, in line with the purposes described in this privacy policy.

Cookies

The site sets the cookies that the cart, the order and your account need.

The banner lets you choose: “Accept all”, “Reject all”, or set each category in “Customize”. With your consent, the site loads two Google tools: Google Analytics for audience measurement, which counts visits, and Google Ads for advertising, which measures the effect of our ads. They set their own cookies. Until you accept, and if you refuse, none of this is sent to Google.

With consent given for audience measurement, the shop also notes how you arrived (a search engine, a link, an ad) and stores it with your order. This note stays on our site.

Your choice is kept for six months in a cookie on the site. You can change it whenever you like.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or, where the legal conditions are met, have it deleted. You can also ask to receive a copy of it in a suitable electronic format.

We handle these requests in accordance with the applicable data protection legislation. Some data may however have to be kept to meet our legal obligations, in particular accounting obligations.

If you believe that the processing of your personal data does not comply with the law, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
